(Reuters) Stephanie Nebehay - The UN Human Rights Council launched an international investigation on Thursday into Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories at the initiative of the Palestinian Authority. The forum voted to launch a probe with 36 states in favor, including China and Russia, one against (the U.S.), and 10 abstained, including EU members Italy and Spain.
