(Jerusalem Post) Khaled Abu Toameh - Four gunmen belonging to Fatah's armed wing, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades, on Friday publicly executed Muhammad Daraghmeh, 45, a resident of Tubas in the Jenin area, on suspicion of collaborating with Israel. The execution took place in the main square of the nearby town of Kabatiya and was witnessed by hundreds of Palestinians. A number of journalists were invited to cover the event. The gunmen forced Daraghmeh to his knees before riddling him with automatic fire. His body lay in a pool of blood for more than half an hour, surrounded by the cheering crowd. Since the beginning of the year, at least 15 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank and Gaza for collaborating with Israel. 2004-07-08 00:00:00Full Article
