(JTA) While Israel respects international law, it opposes the politicization of international bodies such as the International Court of Justice, said Dore Gold, a former Israeli envoy to the UN. "The terms of reference that the court was given by the UN could only result in a decision that was tantamount to the outlawing of the shield, while condoning the continued use of the sword," he said.
