(Times of Israel) Ilan Ben Zion - An Israeli military source confirmed Sunday that the Egyptian military has deployed "additional ground forces" to northern Sinai in an attempt to rein in Islamist extremists. Egypt has deployed six Apache helicopters to reinforce its ground troops, and additional infantry and naval craft have been dispatched to the Suez Canal to protect maritime traffic from terrorist attacks.
