(Ha'aretz) - U.S. State Department official Richard Lawson met on Thursday in Beirut with Lebanon's Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and Parliament Speaker Nabih Beri to deliver an American request for a halt to the project to divert water from the Wazzani River.
