Despite their divergent outlooks, Obama and Netanyahu were able to formulate a common position on two issues. First, the siege of economic sanctions on Iran will not be lifted prematurely. The sanctions effort is key to increasing the chances that Iran will agree to give up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Second, Obama reiterated that the military option exists.
