Avigdor Kahalani, one of Israel's greatest war heroes and now chairman of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers (AWIS), as he went out to meet young soldiers serving near Gaza, under fire. Here is what Kahalani quietly told them: "You know why you're here. It's not to hate anybody. It's to defend your people, your homes and your families.
