(Ha'aretz) Barak Ravid and Jonathan Lis - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu phoned King Abdullah II of Jordan on Thursday to assure him of the maintenance of the status quo on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Netanyahu also undertook to preserve the special status of Jordan regarding the Temple Mount and the Muslim holy places in Jerusalem, as specified in the peace agreement between the two countries.
