(Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs) Yoni Ben Menachem - On Dec. 14, 2014, al-Arabi al-Jadeed reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu contacted Egyptian President al-Sissi with a request to open contacts with Hamas for the return of the bodies of Israeli soldiers Capt. Hadar Goldin and Sgt. Oron Shaul, who died in the summer Gaza war. On Dec. 23, 2014, Mahmoud Nazal, a member of the Hamas political bureau, claimed that the movement is holding live Israeli prisoners.
