(Jerusalem Post) Herb Keinon - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, briefing diplomatic reporters on Thursday, said that any agreement with the Palestinians would necessitate a long-term Israeli presence throughout the West Bank. He said that the real question is not where the borders will be, but, rather, "what will be on the other side of that border." "Who will be in charge of the security in areas where Israel leaves?" When he is assured by various international interlocutors that Israel's security needs will be taken care of, he asks, "by whom?...Who will deal with the tunnels? Who will prevent the smuggling of weapons? Who will prevent the manufacturing of weapons?...My position remains a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state." 2015-05-29 00:00:00Full Article
