(Times of Israel) The head of the IDF Civil Administration, Brig.-Gen. Munir Amar, 47, was killed Friday when his light plane crashed in northern Israel. A resident of Julis, a Druze village, Amar had served as commander of the Herev infantry battalion, comprised of Druze soldiers.
