(Asharq Al-Awsat-UK) Iran decided in April to provide fixed financial support to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Palestinian sources close to the movement stated. The commander of the Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, ordered allocating $70 million annually for PIJ after a two-year hiatus. Iranian support has enabled PIJ to pay two months of salaries for its members after several months of financial crisis.
