(Jerusalem Post) Yaakov Lappin - As soon as the Israel Air Force receives its first F-35s, the planes will begin flights that are critical to maintaining Israeli security - and the F-35s will perform them at a level previously unseen in the Middle East. Intelligence flights will deploy an array of sensors and share large quantities of data on a military Intranet in real time. A single F-35 can fly far from Israel's borders, monitor enemy activity, and deal with advanced surface-to-air missile systems if needed.
