(JTA) A series of powerful earthquakes in August and October near the Italian towns of Amatrice and Norcia killed nearly 300 people and left thousands homeless. In recent days a delegation from the Union of Italian Jewish Communities (UCEI) and IsraAID visited the earthquake zone and delivered thermal blankets, jackets, shoes, and portable heaters, the UCEI reported Wednesday.
