Regional conflicts detracting from Palestinian status include Iran's nuclear ambitions, Iraq, Darfur, and Somalia. Essentially, Israel's adversaries act independently. This was exemplified by the Palestinian's quiescence while Hizbullah waged war in Lebanon.
