(Ha'aretz) Ora Coren - Plasan Sasa is an Israeli company that sells vehicle armor to the U.S. army that has saved countless American lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. While revenues sank after the U.S. largely withdrew from those countries, Plasan changed from making armor to making armored vehicles for armies, police forces, and border guards. The company, based in Kibbutz Sasa in the Galilee, employs 1,300 people, of whom 650 are in the U.S. and 180 in France. Plasan built a special vehicle for the military police of Sao Paulo that can transport 24 fighters, which was used in the last Olympics in Brazil. South Korea bought Plasan's SandCat for patrol and routine security missions.2017-05-19 00:00:00Full Article
