(Middle East Eye-UK) Jacob Burns and Lubna Masarwa - Jihad Barakat, a journalist with the Palestine Today channel, was arrested by Palestinian security forces on Friday near Tulkarem after filming the convoy of Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, marking a new attempt by the PA to drastically restrict journalism in the West Bank. "Since the beginning of June...we have seen a big increase in the violations against journalists," said Omar Nazzal, head of the Palestinian Journalists' Union.
