(Fox News ) Mitchell Bard - Most Palestinians are good people who would like to have normal lives - go to work, educate their children, live in peace. Some Palestinians suffer because of Israel's actions, but these problems are self-inflicted because some Palestinians engage in terror that provokes Israeli countermeasures necessary to protect the safety its people. The real obstacle to peace is the refusal by Palestinian leaders to accept the reality of Israel as a permanent Jewish state in the historic homeland of the Jewish people. Israelis do not want to maintain the status quo, but they can do so if given no choice by the Palestinians.
