It struck Iranian forces in Syria directly and exacted a price from Iran. It destroyed many Syrian SAM sites and left Damascus exposed to future attacks. This is the most significant day of fighting in the "campaign between wars," and the IDF demonstrated most impressive intelligence and strike capabilities. The Iranians are determined to build a military power in the Levant and Israel is determined to stop them.
