Dore Gold told the House Subcommittee on National Security in Washington on July 17 that Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights will protect the Israeli military presence there - that must be continued. Therefore, U.S. recognition of Israel's sovereignty on the Golan would unquestionably be in Israel's security interest.
