The new model mixes battalions from the armored corps, the infantry, and the engineering corps, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the army. Lt.-Col. Radi Azme, commander of the 75th battalion and an Israeli Druze officer, said that despite the new fighting doctrine, structure and weapons, what ultimately wins wars is the leadership ability of commanders during combat and the fighting spirit of the forces.
