(Forward) Muhammad Shehada - Earlier this month, senior Hamas leader and member of Parliament Atef Odwan posted a poll on Facebook asking: Would you re-elect PA President Mahmoud Abbas? But Odwan's poll backfired. In just a few hours, over 10,000 voted, 71% saying "yes" to re-electing Abbas instead of Hamas. Odwan removed the poll and posted a new one, accusing Fatah supporters of swarming to ruin the results. In the new poll, promoted by Hamas activists, more than 30,000 participated, with 54% voting "yes" to re-electing Abbas. A survey in July by the Palestinian Jerusalem Media & Communications Center reported that just over 10% of Palestinians trust Hamas the most. 2018-09-18 00:00:00Full Article
