(Jerusalem Post) Gil Hoffman - Sheikh Akram Sabri, sheikh of Al-Aqsa Mosque, convened the Council of Jerusalem sheikhs, which issued a fatwa (Muslim religious ruling) prohibiting Arab residents of Jerusalem from participating in Tuesday's municipal election. Ramadan Dabash, a citizen of Israel from Jerusalem's Sur Baher neighborhood, is a candidate for the city council. A source in Dabash's party said the decision "does not reflect the Koran.
