(Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research) Dr. Khalil Shikaki - 64% of the Palestinian public (55% in the West Bank, 77% in Gaza) want President Abbas to resign, according to a poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research on Dec. 12-16, 2018. If new legislative elections were held today, 34% say they would vote for Hamas and 35% would vote for Fatah. 55% oppose and 43% support the concept of the two-state solution. 44% think that armed struggle is the most effective means of establishing a Palestinian state.
