(Jerusalem Post) Tovah Lazaroff - South Africa has downgraded its ties with Israel, Foreign Minister Lindiwe Sisulu said Wednesday. Sisulu said South Africa's ambassador, who was recalled last year, would not be returning to Israel and its embassy in Israel has been downgraded. "Our liaison office in Tel Aviv will have no political mandate, no trade mandate and no development cooperation mandate.
