[Sunday Telegraph-UK] Gethin Chamberlain - The clash in the Strait of Hormuz between American warships and Iranian gunboats last week exposed a power struggle within the Iranian regime. According to sources within Iran's ministry of foreign affairs, President Ahmadinejad was kept in the dark about the decision to challenge the U.S. ships until after the confrontation had ended. The action was ordered by hardline elements in the country's Revolutionary Guard.
