(Prime Minister's Office) At a tree-planting ceremony at Mevo'ot Yericho in the Jordan Valley on Monday in honor of Tu B'Shvat, the Jewish "New Year of the Trees," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the recent declaration by President Trump will recognize the application of sovereignty and Israeli law "in the Jordan Valley, in the northern Dead Sea and in all of our communities in Judea and Samaria." This does not depend on Palestinian consent to the U.S. peace plan.
