(Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs) Dr. Eilat Mazar - Beginning in 1999, the Muslim Waqf in Jerusalem began operating heavy machinery and trucks that removed 9,000 tons of antiquities-laden earth from the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, bulldozing through ancient structures without any archeological supervision. To call attention to the massive destruction of the heritage of the Jewish people, Dr. Eilat Mazar asked the Jerusalem Center in 2002 to publish this report.
