(Gaza Post) The Palestinian Authority must stop harassing journalists and political opponents, Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said Monday. "We call on the Palestinian Authority to ensure that security forces protect freedom of expression, freedom of thought, and peaceful assembly. Any 'excessive use of force' should be investigated and prosecuted according to the law." He spoke in the wake of the killing of Palestinian political activist Nizar Banat, who was battered to death by PA security personnel during a raid on his home.
