(Times of Israel) At the request of the U.S. government this week, Israel has delayed demolition of the home of Palestinian Muntasir Shalabi, who opened fire at Israeli students at a West Bank bus stop in May, killing Yehuda Guetta, 19, and injuring two other Israeli teenagers, Israel's Channel 12 reported Tuesday. Shalabi and his family hold U.S. citizenship. In June, Israel's High Court of Justice unanimously rejected a petition against the pending demolition in the West Bank town of Turmus Ayya. The court said the need to provide a deterrent against future attacks was weightier than the need for consideration of the relatives living in the house who may have been uninvolved in the attack. 2021-07-08 00:00:00Full Article
