(Israel Hayom) Nadav Shragai - On March 31, 2002, a suicide bombing at the Matza restaurant in Haifa killed 16 Israelis, including three fathers with their children. The bomber, Shadi Tubasi, who lived in the West Bank, was an Israeli citizen due to his Israeli Arab mother and had freedom of movement. Before Israel's citizenship law was amended to revoke citizenship from Palestinians who had married Israeli Arabs, dozens of Palestinian terrorists used their Israeli citizenship to perpetrate terrorist attacks in Israel.
