(Times of Israel) Emanuel Fabian - IDF Col. Reut Rettig-Weiss was nominated last Thursday to serve as the first female brigade commander in the Israel Defense Forces. She will serve as commander of the 99th division's artillery brigade, as well as head of an artillery unit at the Tze'elim urban warfare training center. Rettig-Weiss previously commanded the Artillery Corps' Sky Riders Unit, which gathers intelligence before and during missions using drones.
