(Tony Blair Institute for Global Change-UK) The Iranian people have undergone secularization and liberalization faster than any society in the Islamic world, despite having lived under the rule of Islamists for decades. When polled in February 2022, 71% of Iranian men and 74% of women disagree with the mandatory imposition of the hijab headcovering.
