(Times of Israel-Ha'aretz) Iranian writer Mehdi Bahman was sentenced to death in Iran on Thursday for "espionage" after he gave an interview to Israel's Channel 13 television in April 2022. In the interview, Bahman criticized the regime in Tehran and the imposition of Islamic law and called for normalization between Israel and Iran.
