(Globes) Danny Zaken - With the growing demand for natural gas in Europe, Israel is planning to maximize the potential of its gas resources. Discussions are underway to build a new pipeline system to carry gas from Israel and Cyprus to liquefaction facilities in Egypt, build a liquefaction facility in Cyprus, build a floating liquefaction facility as part of the expansion of Israel's Leviathan field, and export gas to Europe using tankers. In Israel's economic waters, only about 25% of the gas fields' potential has been exploited.
