(Times of Israel) Emanuel Fabian - The IDF announced Thursday that it targeted a number of top Hamas political and military leaders in recent airstrikes against underground tunnels in Gaza. IDF Spokesman Daniel Hagari said,"It can be said with certainty that the underground area where they were was very heavily damaged. Hamas is trying to hide the results of the strike." IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi said Thursday, "We are quite close to destroying the [Hamas] military system that existed in northern Gaza."
