(Jerusalem Post) Tovah Lazaroff - Israel's Security Cabinet on Thursday authorized increased aid for Gaza after U.S. President Joe Biden threatened to change his supportive policies. "This increased aid will prevent a humanitarian crisis and is necessary to ensure the continuation of the fighting and to achieve the goals of the war," the Prime Minister's Office said. Israel will temporarily allow goods for Gaza to land at Ashdod port and temporarily open the Erez crossing in northern Gaza, close to Ashdod, for the entry of humanitarian assistance. In addition, more Jordanian aid will enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing. The move followed a half-hour phone call between President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu.2024-04-07 00:00:00Full Article
