(Israel Defense Forces) On July 30, Israeli Air Force fighter jets eliminated Hizbullah's most senior military commander and the head of its Strategic Unit, Fuad Shukr, in Beirut. Fuad served as Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah's right-hand man and was Nasrallah's adviser for planning and directing wartime operations. Fuad has directed Hizbullah's attacks on Israel since October 8. He was responsible for the killing of numerous Israelis and foreign nationals over the years. Fuad was responsible for the majority of Hizbullah's most advanced weaponry and was responsible for force build-up, planning, and execution of terror attacks against Israel.
