(Ynet News) Rommy Etzion - Sgt. First Class (res.) Ben Zussman fell in battle in Gaza on Dec. 3, 2023, at the age of 22. On Oct. 7, Ben immediately packed a bag and left for his base. On his way, he wrote a heartfelt letter to his parents and instructed his friends to pass it on if anything happened to him. "If you're reading this, something must have happened to me. As you know me, there's probably no one happier than me right now. It's not just that I was really happy to realize my dream. I am happy and grateful for the privilege to protect our beautiful land and the people of Israel. Even if something happens to me, I forbid you from sinking into sadness. I had the privilege of fulfilling my dream and my calling. You can be sure that I look down on you and smile a huge smile." Members of the Pashut band were moved by Ben's letter. They felt it was a sacred duty to commemorate Ben through song and gift it to his family. "Cookies and Tea" was released in Hebrew on May 1, 2024, and has gained thousands of plays, becoming a symbol of hope and resilience.2024-08-22 00:00:00Full Article
