(Jerusalem Post) Eyal Green - Israeli officials and residents of northern Israel condemned a U.S.-French ceasefire proposal between Israel and Hizbullah. Metula Regional Council chairman David Azulai said the Israeli government must "remove the threat" to avoid another "Oct. 7 next year." Upper Galilee Regional Council chairman Amir Sofer said that while "there is a time for negotiations, this is not the time....We must not be misled by international pressure." Former Israel Security Agency senior official Yossi Amrosi told Maariv that a three-week-long pause in the fighting is "a very long pause and will allow Hizbullah to reorganize."
