(Washington Post) Steve Hendrix - Israel carried out a wave of "precise strikes" against military targets in Iran early Saturday local time. The attacks were limited to military assets. An Israeli official had said the attacks would not hit Iran's oil production or nuclear facilities. A senior administration official said, "The president and his national security team of course worked with the Israelis over recent weeks to encourage Israel to conduct a response that was targeted and proportional with low risk of civilian harm. And that appears to have been precisely what transpired."
