Abbas' Address to the Arab League in Damascus

[Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs-Hebrew] Jonathan D. Halevi - Mahmoud Abbas' speech at the Arab League meeting in Damascus on March 29 was no different from those of his predecessor, Yasser Arafat, neither in accepting Israel's existence nor in recognition of the historical connection of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, nor even in a denunciation of terror.
