Number of Net Users in Middle East Zooms 600 Percent
[Bahrain Tribune] The Middle East saw the highest growth in Internet users in the world during the last six years, as the number of people using the web soared by more than 600%, three times higher than the global average increase, according to industry research firm RNCOS's report, "Middle East Broadband Forecast to 2010." Israel had the highest number of broadband subscribers in 2007, followed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE.
