Peres to EU: Israel Has Every Right to Build in Jerusalem
(Ha'aretz) President Shimon Peres told visiting EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Thursday that Israel reserved the right to build in Jerusalem and that Israel's construction policy in the capital has not changed in forty years. This policy has never interfered with the peace process, he said. He added that Israel would continue this policy and called for a quick resumption of peace talks.
