Peres: Israel Yearns for Peace But Will Defend Itself

President Shimon Peres addressed Israel's bereaved families after lighting a memorial flame at the Western Wall plaza, saying, "On this blessed occasion, I want to say in the name of the State of Israel: We do not seek war. We are a nation that yearns for peace, but will know how to defend itself."
