Israel at 62: Population of 7,587,000
(Ynet News) As Israel celebrates its 62nd birthday, its population stands at 7,587,000, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Sunday. The Jewish population numbers 5,726,000 residents (75.7%), while the Arab population numbers 1,548,000 (20.4%). Over 70% of the Jewish population was born in Israel.
