New Anti-Semitism Is on the Rise
(Vancouver Sun-Canada) Stephen Hume - Statistics Canada reports that hate crimes directed at Jews were up 42%. Anti-Israel rhetoric appears to grant permission to growing numbers to express anti-Semitic sentiments. Although Jews represent only about 1% of Canada's population, they were victims of more than 66% of religion-motivated hate crimes in 2008.
