Israel: Iranian Warships in Mediterranean an Assertion of Power
(CNN) Wolf Blitzer - When Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak was asked by CNN about the Iranian warships that crossed the Suez Canal, he replied, "I don't like it but I don't think that any one of us should be worried by it....If they were bringing rockets or weapons or explosives to Hamas or Hizbullah, we would have probably acted against them. But...they're coming with navy cadets to visit a Syrian port. It's a way of projecting that power, that self-confidence and a certain assertiveness in the region."
