Germany: Israel No Excuse for Spread of Nukes
(Reuters/Ynet News) Israel's nuclear program does not justify allowing the spread of nuclear weapons to other countries, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Thursday during a visit to Egypt. The two sides discussed Iran's nuclear program during the visit. "This excuse which you call 'double standards' does not justify allowing us to see a nuclear power, which will worsen the situation. Rather we should use all possibilities to eliminate nuclear proliferation," Steinmeier said.
