World Bank Donates $42 Million to Bail Out Palestinian Authority
(New York Times) The World Bank released $42 million on Tuesday to help the debt-ridden Palestinian Authority pay salaries until the radical Islamic group Hamas forms the next government. The money is part of $60 million withheld from the Palestinians last December because they failed to meet commitments to fiscal responsibility.
